This is Me
What you see is what you get with me. I speak my mind for the most part (which occasionally gets me into trouble) and I have an open mind to pretty much everything. I don't see the point in pretending I'm someone who I'm not or lying about myself or what I believe: why bother. Life is too short to waste it playing petty little games in my opinion.
I am a student at the University of Northern Iowa (go Panthers!). I've lived in Iowa my whole life, and even though as a kid I was sure I wanted to move out of the state as soon as I could, I know fear having to leave it to have the career I've always dreamed. On the subject, I am majoring in Individual Studies (which means I created my own curriculum/major) Professional Writing and Editing. Needless to say, I want to write. My absolute dream come true would be to become a full time novelist and stay at home with my children, writing of course from home as well. Otherwise I would love to be a book or a magazine editor. I do NOT want to work for a newspaper, which it seems is always what people think when they hear journalism or professional writing, yuck. I don't very much like to watch or read the news as it is, if I didn't care about being informed I wouldn't at all, but either way I do not ever want to write about such things.
I love my family dearly, they are the most important thing in my life; all I really want is to be happy, that would be enough for me.
